RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

Last Updated: 28 August 2026

At GlutumisMaximus™, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains our procedures for returns, refunds and exchanges for products purchased through our online store.

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove, restrict or limit any rights you may have under applicable South African law. Where a mandatory legal right applies, that right will take precedence over this policy.

1. CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

For online purchases, you may have a statutory cooling-off right under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA").

Where section 44 of ECTA applies, you may cancel your purchase within 7 days after receiving the goods, without providing a reason and without paying a cancellation penalty.

If you exercise this right, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the product to us.

The product should be returned in its original condition and packaging where reasonably possible.

This cooling-off right does not apply to transactions or goods excluded by applicable law.

2. DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY PRODUCTS

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") are fully protected.

Where applicable, the CPA provides an implied warranty of quality for qualifying goods. If goods fail to meet the requirements of the CPA, including where they are defective, unsafe or unsuitable for their intended purpose, a consumer may return the goods within 6 months after delivery, subject to the requirements of the Act.

Where the statutory warranty applies, the consumer may be entitled to choose a:

  • REFUND
  • REPAIR
  • REPLACEMENT

Qualifying statutory returns will be handled in accordance with the CPA, including applicable provisions regarding return costs and risk.

Examples of potential manufacturing defects include:

  • Defective stitching
  • A defective D-ring or hardware component
  • Material failure during normal intended use
  • A manufacturing fault that affects the product's functionality
  • A product that materially differs from what was advertised

3. DAMAGE CAUSED BY MISUSE

We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse, abnormal use, negligence, modification or failure to use the product as reasonably intended.

Examples include:

  • Exceeding the stated maximum load
  • Using the product for purposes for which it was not designed
  • Altering or modifying the product
  • Intentionally damaging the product
  • Continuing to use the product after visible damage occurs
  • Damage caused by improper storage or care
  • Normal wear and tear that does not constitute a defect

This section does not limit any statutory rights you may have under the CPA.

4. FITNESS EQUIPMENT SAFETY

The GlutumisMaximus™ Glute Shape Cuffs are fitness accessories designed for exercises such as cable kickbacks, hip abductions and similar lower-body movements.

Customers should:

  • Inspect the product before every use.
  • Never exceed the stated maximum load.
  • Stop using the product if it becomes damaged.
  • Follow reasonable usage instructions.
  • Use appropriate exercise equipment and technique.

GlutumisMaximus™ is not responsible for injury or damage resulting from misuse, improper installation, improper exercise technique, exceeding the stated load limit or using damaged equipment, subject always to any liability that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.

5. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

To request a return or report a product issue, contact us at:

Email: matthewcontent87@gmail.com

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Your full name
  • Your contact details
  • The reason for the return
  • Photographs or video of the product where relevant
  • A description of the issue

Please contact us before sending a product back so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

6. RETURN SHIPPING

Change-of-mind returns

Where you exercise an applicable ECTA cooling-off right, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the product.

Defective products

Where a product qualifies for a statutory remedy under the CPA, applicable statutory provisions regarding return costs and risk will apply.

We will not charge a return or restocking fee where doing so would unlawfully limit your statutory consumer rights.

7. REFUNDS

Where a refund is due, we will process the refund using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Where ECTA requires a refund following a valid cooling-off cancellation, the refund will be processed within the period prescribed by applicable law.

We will not replace a legally required refund with store credit without the customer's agreement.

8. EXCHANGES

We may offer an exchange where appropriate.

However, where South African law gives the consumer a specific remedy or choice of remedy, we will comply with the applicable legal requirements.

9. INCORRECT OR DAMAGED ORDERS

If you receive the wrong product or your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with your order number and photographs of the product and packaging.

We will investigate the issue and provide the appropriate remedy where required by law.

10. INCORRECT DELIVERY INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.

If you provide an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, please contact us immediately.

If an order has already been dispatched, we may be unable to change the delivery address.

Additional delivery costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer may be the customer's responsibility, subject to applicable law.

11. STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy excludes, restricts or waives any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under South African law.

This includes applicable rights under the:

Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008

and

Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable South African law, the mandatory legal provision will prevail.

12. POLICY CHANGES

We reserve the right to update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products or applicable legislation.

The version of the policy applicable to your purchase will generally be the version published at the time your order was placed, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.
